How Much Does It Cost to Grow on Nigerian Twitter?

Around ₦1,090 per thousand post views, around ₦3,500 per thousand likes and around ₦5,409 per thousand followers. Those three numbers settle most budget arguments about X. For the majority of Nigerian accounts, the cheapest genuinely useful thing you can buy is views on one strong post, not followers on a quiet timeline.

What do X services actually cost in Naira?

These are live prices per 1,000 units. They move with the exchange rate, so treat them as close estimates rather than fixed rates.

ServicePrice per 1,000
X post viewsaround ₦1,090
X likesaround ₦3,500
X followersaround ₦5,409
Instagram followers (for comparison)around ₦3,818
YouTube views (for comparison)around ₦10,181

The comparison rows matter. A thousand views on YouTube costs roughly nine times what a thousand views costs on X. That gap is the single most useful fact in this whole article, because it changes what you can afford to test.

What does a realistic budget look like at each goal?

Budgets on X break into three shapes. Pick the one that matches what you are actually trying to do.

You want the account to stop looking new. A profile with 42 followers reads as abandoned, and people judge fast. Around 2,000 followers costs roughly ₦10,800. Add a few hundred likes spread across your best three posts and you are at roughly ₦12,000 to ₦14,000. That is a one time spend to fix a first impression, not a growth plan.

You want one specific post seen. This is where X gets cheap. 10,000 post views costs around ₦10,900. 25,000 costs around ₦27,250. If you are announcing a product, a show, a job opening or a record, this is where the money should go. You are buying distribution for a message, not decoration for a profile.

You want steady presence over a month. Say ₦50,000. Split it as roughly ₦30,000 on post views spread across your best eight to ten posts of the month, ₦12,000 on likes to make those posts look worth reading, and ₦8,000 on followers so the account grows slowly alongside the activity. That mix looks like an account that is being used, which is the point.

Below ₦10,000 a month, do not spread it thin. Put the whole thing behind one post.

Why are post views the cheapest experiment on X?

Two reasons, one about the platform and one about how the service works.

X counts a view when the post appears on a screen, which is a lower bar than a YouTube view or an Instagram reel play. Cheap supply follows a low bar. That is why views sit at around ₦1,090 while followers sit at around ₦5,409.

The second reason is that views do not drop. A view is a recorded event, not an account that can unfollow you or get deleted. That is why view services sit on our Budget tier with no refill attached, and why the absence of a refill there is not a downgrade. There is nothing to restore. Followers and likes are different, which is what the Standard and Premium tiers exist for. We break that down properly in service tiers explained.

Put together, X is the cheapest major platform to run an honest test on. Post the same idea three ways, push each with ₦3,000 of views, and see which one people actually reply to. That experiment costs less than lunch in Lekki and tells you more than a month of guessing.

Should you build followers or push the post?

Push the post, in most cases. Here is why.

X is a post first platform. The timeline surfaces posts to people who do not follow you, based on how the post performs early. Your follower count is not the gate it is on Instagram, where the feed leans heavily on people who already follow you. On X, a good post from a 300 follower account can travel further than a weak post from a 30,000 follower account. That happens every day.

So the money question becomes simple. Followers are a fixed asset that sits on your profile and helps with credibility. Views are fuel for a specific thing you want people to see. If you have something to say this week, fuel beats furniture.

The exception is when your follower count is doing a job on its own. If you are pitching a brand deal, applying for something, or trying to look established before a launch, a visible follower number is part of the pitch. In that case buy the followers deliberately, once, and stop. Do not put followers on a recurring budget.

One warning that applies to both. Followers can drop. Nobody in this industry can promise otherwise, us included. What varies is how much and how fast, and how the service handles it. We cover the causes in why SMM followers drop and how to avoid it.

Is X really more relaxed about this than other platforms?

Observably, yes. That is an observation about how the platform has behaved, not a promise about how it will behave tomorrow.

X has historically enforced less aggressively around engagement services than Instagram or YouTube. It has fewer visible sweeps, and accounts tend to see less turbulence than they do elsewhere. Anyone who has run orders across multiple platforms notices the difference.

What that does not mean:

  • It does not mean X cannot action an account. It can, and it does.
  • It does not mean you should order 100,000 followers onto a 200 follower account overnight. Volume that does not match the account is the thing that draws attention on any platform.
  • It does not mean zero risk. Nobody can promise zero risk on any platform, and any panel that tells you otherwise is selling you something. If you want the full picture on that, read is SMM safe.

The honest framing is that X is currently the most forgiving of the major platforms, which makes it the sensible place to learn how promotion behaves before you spend on a platform where mistakes cost more.

What will promotion not do for you on X?

It will not make a boring post interesting. This is the part people skip.

Promotion increases how many people see something. It does not make them care. 50,000 views on a post nobody wants to quote is 50,000 views and zero replies, and the platform will notice that the engagement did not follow. You get better results pushing a post that already got a bit of traction on its own than pushing one that landed flat.

It also will not build a community. Followers who arrived from an order are a number on your profile. The people who reply to you, quote you and remember your name arrive because you said something worth saying. Promotion buys you the room. What happens in the room is on you.

Where to start

If you have one thing to say and a small budget, put it all on post views for that one post and see what happens. If you are trying to fix a profile that looks abandoned, buy followers once and move on. Both are on the X services page, priced in Naira, no dollar conversion.

Funding a Nitro wallet takes bank transfer, card, USSD, Opay, PalmPay, Kuda, Moniepoint and the rest through Flutterwave, and the minimum deposit is ₦1,000. We never ask for your password, only your public post or profile link, which is worth saying out loud because plenty of panels ask for more than they need. If bank transfer is your preferred route, here is how that works.
